Everything you need to set loopSEO up and run it daily, in plain language — no coding. Follow the five steps in order and you'll end with a site that writes, publishes and improves itself. This page is also your reference manual: each section of the tool is explained at the bottom.

Order matters. The clusters (Step 3) need your site online (Step 2), and automation (Step 4) needs clusters to work on. Do them in sequence and each step takes minutes, not hours.
1
Connect your APIs Go to Settings → API & Credentials
loopSEO runs on your own API keys — it never resells usage or holds your budget. Each service below has its own card in Settings. Fill one card, press Save & Test: the status turns green (Connected) or red with the exact reason. Six keys, connected once, and you're done for good.
OpenRouter
The brain of everything: it powers article writing, rewrites, keyword research and SERP analysis.
Your image storage and CDN. Images live on your bucket with your domain — never on someone else's server.
How: a Cloudflare account with a domain on it → bucket → API token → custom domain as CDN. The guide below covers every click, including how to get a domain on Cloudflare.
Google Search Console — step by step +
Open Google Cloud Console and create (or select) a project.
IAM & Admin → Service Accounts → Create Service Account.
Open it → Keys → Add Key → Create new key → JSON → download the file.
Copy the client_email address from inside the JSON file.
In Google Search Console, add that email as a user on every property, permission Restricted.
Paste the whole JSON content into the loopSEO field → Save & Test.
Cloudflare R2 — step by step +
A domain on Cloudflare — the CDN needs one. No domain yet? Register it right there: Domain Registration → Register Domains → search the name → Purchase → confirm contact details. Billed at cost, roughly €10/year. Already own one?Add it as a Site and point its nameservers to Cloudflare — the domain must live on Cloudflare for the CDN to work.
Cloudflare Dashboard → R2 → Create bucket.
R2 → Manage R2 API Tokens → Account API Token with Object Read & Write. Keep the Access Key ID and the Secret Access Key it shows.
Connect the CDN domain to the bucket: bucket → Settings → Custom Domains → connect a subdomain, e.g. cdn.yourdomain.com. That domain is what your images will load from — it becomes the Public URL.
Fill the card: Access Key ID · Secret Access Key · S3 Endpoint (https://<account_id>.r2.cloudflarestorage.com) · Bucket Name · Public URL → Save All & Test. The test uploads a ping file and fetches it back through the Public URL — green means serving works.
The Public URL field is required — images won't display without it. This is your CDN domain (e.g. https://cdn.yourdomain.com), not the R2 endpoint and not the r2.dev address. If you don't have a domain, register one on Cloudflare Registrar (~€10/year).
You're done with Step 1 when every card in Settings → API & Credentials reads Connected.
2
Add your WordPress site Go to Sites → Add Site
This is how loopSEO talks to your WordPress: a secure, built-in connection — no plugin to install, nothing to upload. You create a special password in WordPress, paste it in, and the site is linked.
Site Name — anything you recognize, it's just for you.
Domain — your site address, e.g. https://yoursite.com.
WordPress API URL — in most cases the same address: https://yoursite.com.
WP Username — your WordPress admin username.
WP App Password — not your normal login password: it's a special one WordPress generates for external apps. How to create it is right below this list.
GSC Property — filled automatically; check that it matches the property selected in Google Search Console, exactly.
Where do I find the Application Password? +
In WordPress go to Users → your profile.
Scroll to Application Passwords → name it "loopSEO" → Add New Application Password.
Copy the generated password with the spaces included and paste it into WP App Password.
Don't see the section? Application Passwords need WordPress 5.6+ with HTTPS, and some security plugins hide them — check there first.
Test it: click Test on the site card — a green "Connected: <site name>" toast means everything is linked. Then click Sync GSC to pull in your pages and Search Console data.
On each site card there's an Automation switch: leave it off for now — you'll turn it on in Step 4, once clusters exist.
3
Generate keyword clusters Go to Keywords → pick your site → Research
A cluster is a topic your site should cover, with all its related searches. You give loopSEO one starting idea; it researches it, dedupes overlapping topics and returns a set of suggested clusters — up to 50, each with a main topic, the search intent behind it and a priority. This is what the tool will write about.
Seed Topic — your starting point, e.g. best CRM software.
Niche / Industry — e.g. B2B SaaS: it keeps every suggestion on topic.
Clusters are suggested automatically — there's no number to pick: loopSEO dedupes overlapping topics and proposes the ones worth writing. You approve, expand or trash them.
Click Generate Clusters. In under a minute you have a board of topics.
Check before keeping: hover a card → SERP shows the live Google analysis for that topic — suggested format, typical length, what the top results cover, content gaps (your angle), and People Also Ask. Use it to judge demand and angle.
Expand adds more long-tail keywords to a cluster you like; the trash icon removes one you don't.
Reading the SERP check: keep topics that match a real search someone would type. Drop near-duplicates — if two clusters say the same thing in different words, the system flags them and merges: trust the flag. And a saturated topic that returns zero new clusters is a normal result — it means the topic is already covered.
Every cluster has a status you can filter by: pending (waiting to be written), in progress (being written), published, archived. The Update Cache button re-pulls fresh Google data for all clusters at once.
4
Turn on automation Go to Settings → Scheduling
This is the heart of loopSEO: a nightly loop that, at 02:00 (Europe/Rome), writes new articles from your pending clusters and keeps old ones improving. You decide how much it may do — with two clear budgets, both per day, both resetting at midnight. Credits don't roll over.
Nightly Loop — the master switch. Off = nothing runs by itself.
New Articles per Night — how many new articles each night, from pending clusters. Set 0 to write only manually.
Auto-Revert Harmful Changes — if a rewrite makes a page worse, the page is restored automatically. Leave it on.
Run Loop Now — runs the whole cycle immediately, even with the master switch off. Perfect for testing your setup.
Two budgets to know:per-site (articles one site may produce in 24h) and your account pool (total across all sites). Manual and automatic generation share the same counter: 3 articles written by hand leave the rest of the day's allowance. You can lower a per-site cap in Settings → Scheduling — never raise it.
Where to watch it: the Agents page shows the live counters, like Site: 4/6 and pool: 22/30. And a practical tip: if you reach the end of the day with allowance left, switch the site to Draft mode — the surplus becomes drafts instead of being lost.
Finally: go back to Sites and turn on the Automation switch for each site you want running on autopilot.
5
Monitor & rewrites Go to Pages and Experiments
Once Search Console is synced, every page gets a score and a plain-word status. You don't need to interpret anything: the color and the word tell you if the page is winning or losing, and the tool rewrites the losers on its own.
Status
What it means
What happens
winning
Position better and clicks up
Nothing — leave it alone.
improving
One of the two improved
Nothing yet — keep watching.
hurting
Position worse and clicks down
Queued for an automatic rewrite.
declining
One of the two got worse
Queued for an automatic rewrite.
new
Too recent to judge
Needs a little data first.
draft
Written but not published
Review and publish it from WordPress.
Every rewrite is logged in Experiments with a verdict — helped, hurt, neutral or still pending. A change marked hurt shows a Revert button: one click and the page is back to how it was. Safety rails are built in: each page can be rewritten at most 3 times, with a 7-day cooldown between attempts, so the tool can never churn your content.
Run Scoring (top of Pages) — recompute all scores right now, instead of waiting for the nightly pass.
Sync Drafts — promotes articles you published from draft in WordPress.
Sync Deleted — removes from the list pages you deleted in WordPress.
Win Rates tab — shows, per type of change and position range, how often rewrites actually won. It's the honest report card of the automation.
If something looks off: press Run Scoring first. A change still showing pending isn't stuck — it just hasn't reached its evaluation window yet.
